Valentine married people in secret after Emperor Claudius II banned it, believing married men made bad soldiers. Valentine, sentenced to death for his crimes, fell in love with the jailor's daughter and on the day of his execution, the 14th of February of course, left her a letter signed, "from your Valentine" and so it began....

Fast forward some 1700 years and we've decided to make this Valentine's Day all about SELF LOVE! We're also adopting Galentine's Day... First coined by American comedian Amy Poehler in the hysterical hit show, Parks & Recretations, Galentine's Day is a much loved but nonofficial holiday for "ladies celebrating ladies."
